To provide its core functionality, the app processes driving-related data, which may include:

This data is processed solely to deliver driving tracking features and is not linked to personally identifying information.

2.3 Location and Event Data

The app uses location data to provide driving tracking functionality. This data is handled differently depending on where it is processed:

Locally Stored Trip Data

Full trip records — including routes, speed metrics, and timestamps — are stored only on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any third party. Because it remains under your sole control, it presents no third-party re-identification risk.

Cloud-Transmitted Event Data

In certain cases, limited event data may be transmitted to cloud-based analytics systems (such as Firebase) for service improvement. These events relate to location-based activity selections, such as stops, services, or purchases. Before transmission, this data is anonymised at source — it is stripped of any device identifier and reduced to aggregate event signals that cannot reasonably be linked back to an individual or device. No precise route data or full trip records are included in these transmissions.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (For Users in the UK or EEA)

If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, processing of technical, usage, and fully anonymous location and event data is conducted for the following purposes:

Technical necessity: processing required to operate the core app functionality, such as recording trips locally on your device.
Legitimate interest: processing technical and diagnostic data (not location) to maintain, improve, and secure the application.

Since all location and event data is fully anonymous and cannot be linked to an individual or persistent device identifier, explicit consent is not required.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party service providers to support analytics, crash reporting, and data storage. These providers process data solely on behalf of the app and only for the purposes described below:

5. Data Sharing and Sale

Data is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising or profiling. Some limited anonymous data may be processed by third-party service providers (such as Firebase or Bugsnag) solely to operate, maintain, and improve the app’s functionality, analytics, and crash reporting. 6. Data Retention

Driving and location data is retained locally on your device. Only limited, fully anonymous events may be stored in cloud-based analytics systems for service improvement. This data is retained only as long as necessary for these purposes.

Technical and diagnostic data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain and improve the service. Data may also be stored in aggregated or anonymized form for analytical purposes.

7. International Processing

Technical, usage, and fully anonymous location and event data may be processed in data centers located outside your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are applied by service providers.

8. User Rights (Where Applicable)

The app does not collect or store any personal data that can be linked to an individual. All analytics, crash reports, and location/event data are fully anonymous. Because of this, there are no personal data records to access, delete, or object to.

9. Data Deletion

Users may delete locally stored driving data directly within the app or by uninstalling the app.

Technical analytics and crash reporting data retained by third-party providers follows their respective retention policies. Because this data is fully anonymous, it cannot be linked to a specific user and cannot be deleted on an individual basis.

10. Device Permissions

The app requests device permissions only as necessary to provide driving tracking functionality, including location access.

11. Automated Decision-Making

The app does not use collected data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes.
